A section of the Defence Headquarters, in Abuja was, on Monday, gutted by fire.
The cause of the fire outbreak, which affected the second floor of the complex, was yet known as of the time this report was filed.
Director of Defence Information, Maj.-Gen. Jimmy Akpor, confirmed the incident, adding, however, that the situation had been brought under by the combined efforts of the military personnel and the Federal Fire Service.
