The Court of Appeal in Abuja has dismissed Senator Ishaku Abbo, a lawmaker from the Adamawa North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

The court has ruled that the election of Abbo of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has been void.

The APC senator’s election was voided by the court in favor of PDP candidate Amos Yohanna, as confirmed by newsmen.

Senator Abbo was re-elected in the February 25, 2023 National Assembly election, with Yohanna coming in second, as confirmed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

INEC reports that Senator Ishaku Abbo won the election with 71,927 votes, while Amos came second with 61,895 votes.
