Idris Donates vehicle,Cash to Military Widows in Kebbi

Governor, Nasir Idris, says, the nation will continue to appreciate the sacrifice of fallen heroes who laid their lives, to defend the sovereignty and integrity of the nation.
He was speaking at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, this Monday, when Kebbi Chapter of the Military Widows’ Association visited him.
“No responsible leader will ever forget your husbands who paid the supreme price to safeguard our wellbeing as a people”,
“We shall not be where we are today without the valour, gallantry and nationalism, demonstrated by fallen soldiers in keeping the nation a united entity”,
“Kebbi State Government will continue to assist you in whatever way necessary, and shall try to supply you with a vehicle to ease your movement as you requested”, Governor Idris assured.
The Chairperson of the Kebbi Chapter, Military Widows’ Association, Asama’u Umar, thanked Governor Nasir Idris for his compassion to the widows and recognition of the sacrifice made by their late spouses.
“The situation of a widow is that of pain and struggle, Your Excellency, you’ve shown compassion, sympathy and empathy to the families of fallen soldiers”,
“You stood by us in our period of tribulations, you restored hope and dignity to us through welfarism, charity and empowerment”,
“Your Excellency, you have given us courage to contribute to societal growth, we shall forever remain grateful to you”,
“The military widows, more than 500 of us, in our collective capacity, have decided to present an award to you in recognition of your compassion and care”,
“We are resolute in prayers for your success in steering the affairs of our dear state, and your return as Chief Executive for another tenure in 2027”, remarked.
On the sidelines however, the governor donated operational vehicle and cash to enable them take care of their orphans left behind by their husbands who died in the services of their father land” the donations of this kind are open to all as we struggle to feed and foot education bills of our children amid bitting economic realities ” Kanoma added.
