Governor Idris blast opposition over claim on infrastructure deficit in Kebbi – By Aliyu Usman

The Governor of Kebbi state,Dr Nasir Idris, on Friday dismissed as political statement and a ploy to discredit his government the claim by the opposition collation that there is absence of infrastructure in Kebbi state.

 

He made the statement in Birnin Kebbi at a completed road project shortly after he returned from his trip, he noted that no matter the level of politicking one who is not blind and lives in Kebbi cannot claim infrastructure shortfall ” before our government came onboard we made promises to people of Kebbi state and we are gradually fulfilling such pledges in terms of infrastructure and other critical sectors in Kebbi state”.

 

Idris, admonished the opposition to fact- check before going to the press to tell lies to the people who are seeing on ground what the government is doing at all levels in terms of infrastructure saying the state capital Birnin Kebbi is no doubt wearing a new face compared to what it was before now.

 

 

He mentioned a near impossible federal road Koko/Zuru  initiated by the federal government but is now being constructed by three famous Companies at the expense of Kebbi state government just to ensure presence of infrastructure in every nooks and crannies of Kebbi state.

 

 

Speaking further he said, he said he was born and bred in Kebbi he knows all the problems of Kebbi state and is working hard to fix them saying opposition are just hitting the brick wall as he will not be discouraged by their unsavoury media attacks.
