Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has approved the review of the monthly standing payment of gratuity from N100 Million to N200 Million.
A statement from the office of the State Commissioner of Finance, Alh. Mohammed Abacha, stated that Governor Buni approved the review to ensure an increase in the payment of gratuity to the beneficiaries every month.
“The review would now provide room for a larger coverage of retired public officers and the next of kin of deceased workers to receive their retirement benefits.
“This demonstrates the commitment of the Yobe state government to ensure that retirees are paid their benefits in good time after retirement”, the statement said.
It assured that, the next of kin of the deceased civil servants would also be paid the entitlements of their deceased relations to support the beneficiaries.
