Comrade Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has been conferred with the prestigious traditional title of Sadaukin Borgun-Kaoje by the Sarkin Borgun-Kaoje, Alhaji Mustapha Usman Adamu.
The historic conferment ceremony was performed at the same time with the distribution of agricultural inputs, economic empowerment support, and food items at the Palace of the District Head.
The farming inputs and economic empowerment packages were provided by the House of Representatives member representing Suru/Bagudo federal constituency, Honourable Bello Kaoje, kogunan Gwandu.
At the conferment session of the combined programme, the District Head explained that the Govenor merited the Bargu kingdom traditional title considering the valuable infrastructure and economic empowerment support programmes implemented by the administration which have remarkably impacted the people.
He specifically mentioned the distribution of free fertiliser and farming inputs since the inception of the administration, rehabilitation of dilapidated schools, construction of additional new ones, as well as financial and material economic empowerment support for the business community and unemployed youths in the area.
At the distribution of the agricultural inputs and food items, Comrade Nasir commended the federal legislator for making the event a quarterly routine, thereby creating more job opportunities and sustainable wealth generation in his constituency .
Earlier on Friday, the Governor commissioned a multi millon naira ultra modern central jumm’at mosque constructed by Honourable kogunan Gwandu in Tsamiya, a highly populated and business oriented community located along Nigeria boundry with the Republic of Benin.
As prominent individuals, corporate organisations, traditional and religious leaders and the nation’s political leaders including state governors and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu continue to rejoice with Comrade Governor Idris on his 60th birthday anniversary, let’s sustain the prayers and best wishes for the success of the People’s Governor beyond 2027.
