One of the #EndSARS protesters who bear witness to the attack met on them didn’t the #EndSARS protest before the Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution for Victims of SARS related Abuses in Lagos State has been attacked.

Miss Kamsiyochukwu Ibe, a member of the #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate on October 20, 2020, was  macheted in Lagos on Sunday.The attackers who was said to have told her: “Oh we know you, shebi they have warned you people to stop, but you will not stop. When you die now, continue.”

Ibe only bear witness before the Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution for Victims of SARS related Abuses in Lagos State.

One of the Panel member, Mr. Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa (SAN), who also decried that his life is under threat, he makes this disclosure in the early hours of today, while also revealing that Miss Kamsiyochukwu Ibe, an #EndSARS protester, was macheted on Sunday in what seems like an attempted murder.

While addressing news men, he said “last night (Sunday), one of the prominent #EndSARS protesters who testified before the Panel, Miss Kamsiyochukwu Ibe, was attacked and dealt serious machete blows, in what was clearly an attempted murder, as reported by her counsel, with very disturbing photos,” Adegboruwa stated in a statement issued on Monday morning.

Barrister Adegboruwa stated that Nigerians should hold the government responsible should anything happen to him.

The barrister further said that since the submission of the reports, there have been series of attacks and opprobrium against his person in the media.

In the statement Adegboruwa also said: “Since the submission of the report of the Lagos #EndSARS Panel, there have been lots of threats and attacks, by those suspected to be agents of the government, upon me, especially in the media.”

According to him, he said “I have not committed any crime beyond joining other eminent Nigerians with unblemished integrity, to accept the nomination of government on behalf of my constituency, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the civil society and the masses of our people, for a national assignment.

“Two renown lawyers of the government have openly incited opinions against me on national television, with mindless accusations.”

“I have however refused to be intimidated or bend to the tactics of government to be silenced.

“I urge the good people of Nigeria, my professional colleagues in the Nigerian Bar Association, my comrades in the civil rights movement and the people of Nigeria, to hold government responsible should anything happen to me.”

“I heeded the clarion call to serve by the government with the honest believe that the Panel was meant to say the truth and nothing but the truth, which is what we have done. It is left for government and Nigerians to do the needful with the report of the Panel.”

The Panel had finds the the Nigerian Army guilty for assaulting, injuring and killing unarmed, helpless and defenseless protesters.

The Panel stated that 11 people were killed at the Lekki Toll Gate, four were reportedly missing but whom were assumed to be dead, 26 protesters received gunshot injuries or got injured while nine others were assaulted by soldiers and police. This report was contained in the panels report.

The investigation in the end also unearth that 96 corpses which was labelled as #EndSARS were found across the state.

The panel in their submission stated that the October 20, 2020 Lekki Toll Gate protesters were assaulted by the men of the nigerian army without provocation or justification, while these protesters were waving the country’s Flag. This is totally wrong as entrenched in the country’s constitution. He said
