An earth shaking security summit would be hosted by Kebbi state government to chart ways out of escalating security situation in northern Nigeria.
The security summit organised by Arewa broadcast media practitioners forum and supported by Kebbi state will feature high profile security experts from Sokoto, Kaduna and Zamfara states to brainstorm on how best to tackle the menace with a workable permanent solution to the lingering scourge in the affected states.
Alhaji Abdulllahi Yelwa ajiyan Yauri in a statement stated that the situations in the affected states calls for enduring action and practical solutions ” our summit is not a mere gathering of security experts but a concrete measure will be taken through actionable and workable solutions the experts will provide during the summit”.
Ajiya revealed that, the region is worried by the escalation of kidnapping for ransom and needless killings of innocent people in northern Nigeria and else where in Nigeria therefore deemed it fit to convene a high level security summit which will go beyond talks but action packed as a gateway to enduring peace in the region.
He added that at least no fewer than one hundred and seventy experts from different field of endeavours would lend their voices during the security summit to proffer a practical solutions to the endemic security problem sweeping through the north and other states who are experiencing intermittent security challenges.
The summit slated for February the 10th 2025,will draw governors,heads of security agencies and members of the academia .
