Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has charged Chairmen Caretaker Managent Committee of the 17 local government areas to focus more on improving security and intensify revenue generation in their respective areas.
Buni represented by his Deputy gave the charge on Wednesday at the opening of routine meeting with the relevant stakeholders and local government chairmen.
He admonished the chairmen to champion the course of good governance as well as sustainable development, saying leadership is all about service to the people and that the quality of any leadership in the world depends on how much they can able to impact on the lives of their followers.
The Governor however cautioned the chairmen to avoid absentisim, indiscipline and lack of proper supervision in their respective wards, while appealing to farmers and herders in the state to maintain peace and understanding.
