Yobe: Gov. Buni signs Hisbah, YITDA bills into law

Yobe state Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni today signed two bills establishing the Hisbah Commission, and the Yobe State Information Technology Development Agency (YITDA) into law.
 
This is contained in a statement signed and issued on Friday by the Director-General  Press and Media Affairs  to the Governor, Mamman Mohammed.
 
According to the statement, the Hisbah Commission law is to monitor the enforcement and implementation of Shariah and prevent other social vices in the state.
 
“Similarly, the Yobe State Information Technology Development Agency law is to coordinate and collaborate with institutions in mentoring and training of youths in the field of information technology in the state”, the statement added.
 
It also noted that, the two laws enacted by the Yobe state House of Assembly and signed by His Excellency Governor Buni, come into effect today, 6th October 2023.
