
NYCN zones Presidency North, adopts Khalifa consensus candidate

Commends Tinubu,youth minister for good youth policies in Nigeria
National youth council of Nigeria ( NYCN) has hinted that it has zoned the post of the National president of the body to northwestern Nigeria in the forthcoming elections.
The apex youth body in Nigeria made the disclosure during the joint stakeholders meeting at Blue hotel Kaduna which comprises serving and old states presidents of NYCYN who gathered to fine the activities of council as it prepare for elections.
Speaking on the sidelines, Kebbi state President of National youth council of Nigeria Comrade Abubakar Ahmed Khalifa who is now the consensus presidential candidate of NYCN thanked the Southern part of the country for zoning the council’ s presidential position to north particularly northwest and for also adopting him as sole candidate ” we are profoundly grateful to Southern part of our great council for zoning the post to northern part and for finding me worthy of the position”.
At the meeting , however, stakeholders unanimously commended the president Tinubu led government for her youth friendly policies which has helped to shape the future of Nigerian youth.
The stakeholders also adopted the rule provided by their constitution that only youth from 35 years of age are eligible to contest for elective post which was also agreed by the minister for youth, Comrade Ayodele Olawale.
He stressed that NYCN and stakeholders at the meeting also resolved to hold extended meeting to resolve issues in nineteen northern states to foster unity and to drum support before the election.
The stakeholders meeting deliberated on so many issues regarding the progress of the body and Nigerian youth who are the critical stakeholders in efforts to better their lives and to ensure all their rights are protected at all levels of government in Nigeria.
