Kebbi 2027: How Idris’s achievements in Kebbi water down political thuggery and hooliganism -Abdullahi Zuru

According to him Some political actors in the present Nigerian democratic dispensation see politics as an opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to the improvement of the well-being of their respective communities.
Others, however, considered it to be a lucrative business venture that provides an avenue for massive accumulation of wealth through diversion and misappropraition of public funds.
In the present day, Kebbi State, Governor Nasir Idris has made significant strides in development within his first two years in office under the leadership of Comrade Governor Nasir Idris, has, within the first two years of his stewardship, clearly and unargualably changed the .
Some notable achievements recorded included the completion of many abandoned projects and the rehabilitation of several (not all) dilapidated critical infrastructure.
Under his urban renewal programme as contained in the administration’s comprehensive development blueprint, the Comrade Governor is undertaking the execution of high-quality viable landmark projects that made the state to meet up with it’s contemporaries and surpass the levels of development of some states. He added.
In view of the unprecedented remarkable achievements recorded in all sectors of development by the Kebbi Governor’s administration, his all-inclusive policy of governance, compassion, generousity, and regard for elders regardless of political affiliation, the membership and leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC)stakeholders unanimously resolved to passed a vote of absolute confidence on him and endosed his second term bid in the overall interest of the state’s socio-economic and political transformation.
He However, added that It is at this point in time that Barrister Abubakar Malami,
publically demonstrated his betrayal to the late President Buhari and his enviable legacy and indeed the All Progressive Congress (APC) that brought him to political limelight and allowed him served for eight years on ministerial position, resigned from the party for selfish reasons and joined a coalition of ambitious politicians under the Advanced Democratic Congress (ADC).
Determined to rubbish the legacy of the late President Buhari, sabotage the re-election bid of President Bola Tinubu and Comrade Governor Nasir Idris for a second term tenure in 2027, Abubakar Malami deployed the enormous resources accumulated during his eight years tenure as minister of Justice, in the sponsorship of destructive campaign of calumny against President Tinubu and his state Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu.
He does that through consultants who specialise in production and packaging of fabricated falsehood in to programmes and articles which they distribute to selected media houses and social media platforms usage.
He alleged that those consultants are also engaged in organising stage-managed political crises, particularly in the North West, just as witnessed in Kebbi state recently.
The Kebbi deliberately organised crisis started on arrival of Abubakar Malami at Birnin Kebbi airport. He was received by a group of his hangers-on accompanied by heavenly armed aris claimed supporters imported hoodlums, brandishing cutlass, daggers,big sticks, and different dangerous weapons.
On their way to the city, they allegedly destroyed all the billboards along the way, with the pictures of Comrade Governor Nasir Idris and stalwarts of the All Progressive Congress(APC).
The former Minister who has no record of condolence or sympathy visit or making meaningful impacts on the lives of the people, throughout his eight years tenure, drove to Emir’s palace for what many described as political gimmicks under the pretext of condolence visit.
When he returned
to his residence which is about five hundred meters away from the state Secretariat of the All Progressive Congress(APC), he was reported to have abandoned the dozens of the hired armed political thugs who as a result, allegedly went on rampage resulting in damaging valuable properties around the residence including vehicles. The thugs did not spare the near by APC Secretariat and the innocent passers-by to whom they transferred their aggression and simultaneously attacked and vandalised many vehicles and other valuable properties.
Although the imported hoodlums after creating serious tension in Birnin Kebbi metropolis have been dispersed by the police ,there is fear that may hang around and constitute security challenges and threats to the community.
The various security agencies in the state have demonstrated their capacity in crime control and prevention and appeared fully prepared to curtail possible attempt by hooliganism and political thuggery to distrubt the peace in the state.
However, it is now time for the sponsors of political thuggery and other political gimmicks to come to terms with the reality that the people of Kebbi State and indeed Nigeria have become conscious of their rights and vowed that never again would they be deceived by by the selfish and greedy politicians.
