Air Peace 737NG Fleet Expansion Strengthens Airline’s Operations

Air Peace has expanded its fleet with two Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft as the Nigerian carrier continues its plans to increase capacity and modernise its operations.

The latest additions strengthen the airline’s Boeing fleet and support its wider effort to replace some of its older Boeing 737 Classic aircraft. The move also comes as the airline continues to grow its network and respond to demand for air travel within Nigeria and across regional destinations.

The Air Peace 737NG expansion reflects the airline’s continued investment in aircraft that can support its growing operations. The Boeing 737NG family has become an important part of the carrier’s fleet because of its suitability for domestic and regional services.

Air Peace 737NG Expansion Supports Fleet Growth

The two newly added aircraft will provide Air Peace with additional capacity as the airline continues to develop its network.

Air Peace has expanded its fleet several times in recent years, adding different aircraft types to support various routes and passenger needs. The airline operates Boeing aircraft alongside Embraer jets, allowing it to use different aircraft depending on the distance and demand associated with a particular route.

The latest Air Peace 737NG additions are expected to provide more flexibility in the airline’s daily operations. Additional aircraft can allow a carrier to increase frequencies on busy routes, introduce more services and maintain its schedule when other aircraft require maintenance.

The development also forms part of a gradual move away from older Boeing 737 Classic aircraft. The 737NG generation offers a newer platform that can support the airline’s long-term fleet plans.

Earlier in 2026, Air Peace added another Boeing 737-800NG to its fleet. The aircraft, registered 5N-CGD, arrived with a configuration of 189 economy-class seats and was introduced to help the airline meet passenger demand while providing greater flexibility in its flight schedules.

The latest additions will further increase the number of newer-generation Boeing aircraft available to the airline.

Airline Continues Modernisation Drive

The Air Peace 737NG expansion is not an isolated fleet development, as the airline has continued to acquire aircraft across different categories while strengthening its operations.

Air Peace has also expanded its Embraer fleet, which plays an important role in its domestic and regional operations. The airline’s use of different aircraft types allows it to match aircraft capacity with demand across its network rather than relying on one aircraft category for every route.

The carrier has made fleet expansion a major part of its growth strategy. Its aircraft acquisitions have supported efforts to increase connectivity between Nigerian cities while also strengthening connections to destinations elsewhere in West and Central Africa.

For passengers, additional aircraft could create more opportunities for increased flight frequencies and improved scheduling. A larger fleet can also give an airline more room to manage aircraft maintenance without placing as much pressure on the remaining planes in service.

The Air Peace 737NG additions could therefore play a role in the airline’s wider operational plans as it seeks to maintain and expand its presence in Nigeria’s aviation industry.

Fleet renewal also remains important as airlines face rising passenger expectations and increasing competition. Newer-generation aircraft can provide carriers with greater operational flexibility while helping them gradually reduce their dependence on older aircraft.

Air Peace has continued to position itself as one of Nigeria’s major airlines, with an expanding network that covers domestic destinations as well as international and regional markets. Its fleet strategy has become an important part of that expansion.

The addition of two Boeing 737NG aircraft gives the airline more capacity at a time when demand for reliable air transport remains significant. It also supports the carrier’s longer-term plan to maintain a more modern and flexible fleet.

As Air Peace continues to add aircraft and develop its network, the latest Boeing 737NG additions are expected to strengthen its ability to serve passengers while supporting its ongoing fleet renewal programme.

The Air Peace 737NG expansion therefore represents another step in the airline’s efforts to grow its fleet, improve operational flexibility and gradually replace older Boeing 737 Classic aircraft.
