198 Killed in Gaza, 40 in Israel After Major Attack

According to health officials, at least 198 Palestinians have lost their life in Gaza as a result of Israeli airstrikes in retaliation.

At least 1,610 people had been hurt in the strikes, according to the officials.

Hamas’ incursion, which started with numerous rocket attacks early on Saturday morning, prompted Israel to launch “Operation Sword of Iron.”

An emergency had already been declared in hospitals all over Gaza by the health minister.

As part of “Operation Sword of Iron,” Israel carried out strikes on 20 sites in Gaza that it claimed were run by Hamas in retaliation for the incursion today.

However, according to Israeli media, at least 40 Israelis have died and 740 more have been injured as a result of the Hamas incursion.

However, there has been no official confirmation as of yet, according to Israel’s N12 news channel.

22 Israelis have died, and 545 more have been injured, according to the most recent official statistics.

Around 50 Israeli hostages are currently being held by Hamas gunmen, according to the Israeli news channel N12.

It stated that the Be’eri kibbutz was holding the hostages.

The kibbutz is situated in southern Israel’s northwestern Negev desert, close to the Gaza Strip’s eastern border.

Furthermore, the foreign ministry of Israel claimed that Hamas militants were killing civilians by going door to door.

A statement from the ministry read, “Earlier this morning, armed Hamas terrorists infiltrated Israeli communities and began killing innocent Israelis house to house.

Several of the pictures are so upsetting that we can’t even share them.

We will use all available means to safeguard our citizens and pursue those responsible for their harm”

Although these assertions are currently unconfirmed, Israeli media is reporting that some “civilian hostages” are being transported to Gaza while asserting that others have been killed in street shootings.

In a statement earlier in the day, the Palestinian state demanded an end to “Israeli occupation of the land and the State of Palestine.”.

We have repeatedly cautioned against the negative effects of blocking the political horizon, according to the statement. “.

It was further stated that the holy site of Al Asqa was subject to daily provocations and raids.

It continued, “Ending the Israeli occupation will bring about security, stability, and peace in our region. “.

Washington is working to make sure Israel “has what it needs” to defend itself, according to US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

Austin said in a statement: “Over the next few days, the Department of Defense will work to make sure that Israel has what it needs to defend itself and protect civilians from indiscriminate violence and terrorism.”
